Dear Friends, Many of you will know by now, through social media and word of mouth, that we must suspend normal services of public worship and pastoral visiting with immediate effect. We cannot mask the fact that this is a sad and challenging time for us all. Yet, it has been such an encouragement to see how so many are reaching out through social media and gestures of genuine kindness towards our community. Let this continue to be at the heart of who we are in the United Parish. What a day it will be when, once more, we join together to worship the Living God. As a church leadership we are committed to staying connected with our church family. Here is how we are going to do that: Each week, we will record an act of worship on Saturday which will be made available to you via YouTube and Facebook on Sunday morning at 11am. We will send a link to your mobile and/or email address. Details will follow but please encourage anyone who isn’t on our mailing list to contact us so they can get the link. The Clergy Team will keep in contact and are contactable by mobile: Rev Andrew 07917 633082 ‘Be still, and know that I am God ... The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.’ Psalm 46 With love, Rev Andrew |
